Ms. De Miranda Department for General Assembly and Conference Management #81136
This oral statement is made in accordance with rule 153 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly. Under the terms of the draft decision A/72/L.66, the General Assembly would decide to transmit the draft decision contained in the annex to the present decision to the General Assembly at its seventy-third session for action. Given that the draft decision on scheduling the high-level meetings of the General Assembly in 2019 contained in the annex to draft decision A/72/L.66 will be transmitted to the seventy-third session for action, the Secretary-General would issue the related programme budget implications of the requirements in accordance with rule 153 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly when the draft decision is taken up at the seventy-third session. Accordingly, the adoption of draft decision A/72/L.66 would not give rise to any budgetary implications under the programme budget for the biennium 2018-2019. Copies of the statement I have just read out will also be made available on the PaperSmart portal.
