The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda. The Security Council is meeting in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations. Members of the Council have before them the report of the Secretary-General on the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, document S/24923, Members of the Council also have before them document S/24940, which contains the text of a draft resolution prepared in the course of the Council's prior consultations. I should like to draw the attention of members of the Council to the following documents: S/24814, letter dated 16 November 1992 from the Permanent Representative of Albania to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General; S/24851, letter dated 23 November 1992 from the Secretary-General addressed to the President of the Security Council; and S/24852, letter dated 25 November 1992 from the President of the Security Council addressed to the Secretary-General. It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to vote the draft resolution before it in document S/24940. Unless I hear a y objection, I shall put the draft resolution to the vote now. There being no objection, it is so decided. A vote was taken by show of hands. There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has therefore been adopted unanimously as resolution 795 (1992). The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda. The Security Council will remain seized of the matter. The meeting rose at 5.55 p.m.
