The situation in Sierra Leone Tenth report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Sierra Leone (S/2013/118)
Under rule 37 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure, I invite the representative of Sierra Leone to participate in this meeting.
The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda.
Members of the Council have before them document S/2013/181, which contains the text of a draft resolution submitted by Australia, Luxembourg, Morocco, Rwanda, Togo and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
I wish to draw the attention of Council members to document S/2013/118, which contains the tenth report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Sierra Leone.
It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. I shall put the draft resolution to the vote now.

The draft resolution received 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 2097 (2013).
I now give the floor to the representative of Sierra Leone.
I have asked for the floor to place on record my Government’s profound appreciation for the interest and efforts, as well as the collective wisdom, of the Council in trying to put my country on the right track. We thank the members of the Council for the unanimity they have again shown in the adoption of resolution 2097 (2013) a moment ago, and want to assure the Council of my Government’s cooperation and commitment towards its full implementation. We look forward to a seamless transition and transformation, structural and functional, of the United Nations peacebuilding efforts in the country.
The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda.
