International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals
The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda.
Members of the Council have before them document S/2022/501, which contains the text of a draft resolution submitted by Gabon.
The Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. I shall put the draft resolution to the vote now.
A vote was taken by show of hands.
The draft resolution received 14 votes in favour, none against and 1 abstention. The draft resolution has been adopted as resolution 2637 (2022).
I shall now give the floor to those members of the Council who wish to make statements after the voting.
I would like to thank all colleagues for their flexibility and the constructive atmosphere that made it possible to adopt this important resolution 2637 (2022), as well how the Council is able to shine when it rises to meet its mandate. I think that is what made this possible today. We hope that it will be replicated in the future.
