Adopted by the Security Council at its 7416th meeting, on
26 March 2015
The Security Council,
Recalling its previous resolutions and statements on the Central African
Republic, in particular resolutions 2121 (2013), 212 7 (2013), 2134 (2014), 2149
(2014), 2181 (2014) and 2196 (2015) as well as Presidential Statement
S/PRST/2014/28 of 18 December 2014,
Taking note of the letter dated 29 January 2015 from the Secretary-General to
the President of the Security Council,
Determining that the situation in the Central African Republic continues to
constitute a threat to international peace and security,
Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations,
1. Decides to authorize an increase of 750 military personnel, 280 police
personnel and 20 corrections officers for MINUSCA, in addition to the personnel
authorized by paragraph 20 of resolution 2149 (2014);
2. Requests that the Secretary-General keep the new levels of military
personnel, police personnel and corrections officers in MINUSCA under continuous
review;
3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
