A/64/PV.75 General Assembly
On behalf of the Group of 77 and China, I have the honour to introduce draft resolution A/64/L.38/Rev.1, entitled “New Partnership for Africa’s Development: progress in implementation and international support”.
I am pleased to report that we have reached consensus on the draft resolution. I would therefore like to thank all groups for their constructive engagement in the negotiating process. I would also like to thank the facilitator, Mr. Nor Eddine Benfreha of Algeria, as well as the groups’ coordinators, for their tireless and continuous efforts, which enabled us to reach consensus.
The Assembly will now take a decision on draft resolution A/64/L.38/Rev.1. I should like to announce that, since the publication of the draft resolution, Croatia, Estonia, Ireland, Israel and Slovenia have become sponsors.
May I take it that the General Assembly decides to adopt draft resolution A/64/L.38/Rev.1?
Draft resolution A/64/L.38/Rev.1 was adopted (resolution 64/258).

112. Appointments to fill vacancies in subsidiary organs and other appointments (a) Appointment of members of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions Report of the Fifth Committee (A/64/524/Add.1)
If there is no proposal under rule 66 of the rules of procedure, I shall take it that the General Assembly decides not to discuss the report of the Fifth Committee that is before it today.

Before we begin to take action on the recommendation contained in the report of the Fifth Committee, I should like to advise representatives that we are going to proceed to take a decision in the same manner as was done in the Fifth Committee.
The Fifth Committee recommends in paragraph 3 of its report that the General Assembly appoint Anupam Ray of India as a member of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions for a term of office beginning today, 16 March 2010, and ending on 31 December 2010.
