S/PV.1471 Security Council

In accordance with the decisions taken previously by the Council, I propose, with the consent of the Council, to invite the representatives of Jordan, Israel and Saudi Arabia to take seats at the Council table in order to participate, without the right to vote, in tl le discussion. At the invitation of the President, Mr. M. E/.-Farm (Jordan), Mr. Y. Tekoah (Israel) and Mr. M. Al-Agroush (Saudi Arabia) took places at the Council table.

The Security Council will now continue its consideration of the questions inscribed on its agenda. 3. As I indicated at this morning’s meeting, consultations are going on among members of the Security Council and as a result of those contacts a draft resolution sponsored by three delegations has been worked out. It will be distributed soon for the consideration of the Council. 4. The sponsors of the draft resolution have considered all circumstances and out of respect for the day of national mourning in the United States on Monday, they have decided that they will introduce the draft resolution at the next meeting after the day of national mourning.
