As this is the first meeting of the Security Council for the month of Februarv. I should like to oav a tribute. on behalf of the Council, to Mr. Ling Qi&, represen: tative of China, for his services as President of the Council for the month of January. ,::F President, Mr. Ling earned our admiration and deep gratitude for the great diplomatic skill with which he carried out his functions. 3. The text of this statement will be conveyed immediately to the State President of the Republic of South Africa.
