"The Government of Czechoslovakia is invited to participatt without vote in the discussion of the Czechoslovak question now under consideration by the Security Council, and the Secretary-General is instructed to noilly the Czechoslovak representative to the United Nations accordingly."

There are a great many matters under consideration now, and it would be convenient for the representatives on the Security Council ta know what the President proposes. :'he PRESIDENT: If it is agreeable to the mem- bers of the Council, we could fix the next meet- ing for Thursday afternoon. Yes, the day after tomorrow.
Mr. EL-KHOURI (Syria): 1 do not think it is possible to meet at that time because of the time required for communicating with the Czechoslovak Government at Prague, and for that Government ta give instructions and send a representative.
1 would rather the Security Council now adjourned sine die, and, as saon as the President. receives a reply from the Czechoslovak Government stating that its representative would be ready at a certain time, the President could then call another meeting of the Security Council.
Mr. PARODI (France) (translated trom French): 1 agree with the representative of Syrici that the inte1l'val proposed by the President is perhaps rather short. On the other hand 1 think it would be inconvenient to leave the date open; it would be better to fix a date at which we shall meet, whether we have received any answer or not. Perhaps that date could he a little later than next Thursday.
