The representative of the Soviet Union has moved the postponement of the meeting to Monday, 17 December 1990. at 3 p.m., in accordance with rule 33.3 of the Council's provisional rules of procedure. I shall now put to the vote the motion by the Soviet Union, that the meeting be adjourned to Monday, 17 December, at 3 p.m. A vote was taken by show of hands. In favour: Canada, Céte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Finland, Romania, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America, Zaire Against: Colombia, Cuba, Malaysia, Yemen Abstaining: China, France

The result of the voting is as follows: 9 votes in favour, 4 against and 2 abstentions. ‘The motion is adopted, The meeting rose at 8.20 p.m.
