S/PV.3243 Security Council

The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on the agenda. The Security Council is meeting in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations, Members of the Council have before them documents S/25855 and Add.1l and 2, which contain the text of a letter dated 26 May 1993 from the Secretary~General addressed to the President of the Security Council together with various additional documents and annexes. Members of the Council also have before them document $/25968, which contains the text of a draft resolution prepared in the course of the Council's prior consultations. I should like to draw the attention of the members of the Council to document $/25892, which contains the text of a letter dated 7 June 1993 from the Permanent Representative of Albania to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council. It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. Unless I hear any objection, I shall put draft resolution S/25968 to the vote now. There being no objection, it is so decided. A vote was taken by show of hands. There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 845 (1993). The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item cn the agenda. The Security Council will remain seized of the matter. The meeting rose at 4.15 p.m.
