1 t4ink the debate is now closed and we can proceed ta V0~e. May 1 remind the Council that we have before us a motion submitted by the USSR l'epresentative in the letter of 6 April. It reads as follows: "For the above-mentioned reasons the Government of the USSR insists that the Iranian question should be removed from the agenda of the Security Council." The French representative has also submitted a draft resolution which reads as follows: "The Security Council~ "Having again considered at its meetings of 15 and 16 April the question which it had placed on its agenda on 26 March 1946 at the request of the Govemment of Iran and which formed the subject of its resolution of 4 April; "Takes note of the letter dated 15 April addressed to it by the representative of the Government of Iran in which the latter informs the Sequity Council of the withdrawal of his camplaint; . "Notes that an agreement has been reached between the two Governments concerned; and "Requests the Secretary-General to collect the necessary information in arder to .complete the Security Council's report to the Assembly, in accordance with Article 24 of t..~e Charter, on the maIller in wmch it dealt with the case placed on its agenda on 26 March last at the request, now withdrawn, of the Government of Iran."
