We shaH now proceed to the election of five members of the International Court of Justice. The list of nominations will be p'1a,.;ed hefore the Conncil in the fOrIll of 'a ballot palper and members of the Council should vote on:ly for five candidat,es and no more. If the ballot p,aper contains mor,e than five names, il will be ,considered invaUd. If the banot paper contains less than five names, il will 'Count in respect of the number of Ü'ames contained in the pa,per. We shaH therefore ~uspend this meeting now and reconvene ln fifteen minutes, in the hope that we shall have l'eceived the ['Ieport from the General Assembly iby that time. In the meantime, we shaH make our report to the General Assernhly. The General Assembly is at pœsent holding its second hallot!. the l'esult of which may or may not he. in concurrence with the vote of the Securïty Council. The work of the Security Council in this respect is now concluded. Shoufd there be disagreement on the resuHs of the halIoting, il will be necessary to calI a second meeting to hold an indepelldent ballot.
