l am informed that the delegatiolls which suhmitted one of the original draft resolutions hefore the Couneil are on the point of submitting new amendments in the nope that they may he acceptable ta aIl parties. In the eircumstances l think that l am acting in accordance with the wishes of members in suspending tbis meeting for twenty minutes. The meeting was suspended at 12 0'c/ock noon and resumed at 12.25 p.m.. 54. The PRESIDENT: l undersœnd that talks are eontinuing in the hope that they may result in an understanding. One de1egation, which l prder not to speeify for the moment, intends to introduce amendments which, it is hoped, may eventuaUy prove to he acceptable ta more members of the Security Couneil. In these cirçumstances l wonder if representatives wouId agree ta adjourn this meeting and to meet again at three o'clock this afternoon, on the understanding that in the meantime the amer-dments to which l have just referred will be submitted and circulated to delegations in the various languages and that they will find them before them at the opelling of this aftcmoon's meeting. 55.
