The United States welcomes the achievement of the General Assembly in concluding its work on the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism and adopting it by consensus. By its action today, the General Assembly has shown that, when it has the political will, it can play an important role in the global fight against terrorism.
