Before giving the floor for explanations of position after adoption, I would like to remind delegations that explanations are limited to 10 minutes and should be made by delegations from their seats.
The United States strongly believes in encouraging a culture of peace through the promotion of justice, democracy and human rights, as well as by rejecting violence and addressing the root causes of conflict. In recognition of those values, we support resolution 77/296. We thank
Bangladesh for its leadership on the text and for its work to ensure that it reflects the views of all delegations.
