The Security Council, Reaffirming its resolution 713 (1991) of 25 September 1991 and subsequent relevant resolutions, Having considered the report of resolution 836 (1993) concerning the safe area in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Expressing its alarm at the grave and intolerable situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina arising from serious violations of international humanitarian law, Reiterating once again its determination to seek a comprehensive political solution to the conflict in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Determined to implement fully the provisions of resolution 836 (1993), Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, 1. Approves the report of the Secretary-General; 2. Decides to authorize the reinforcement of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) to meet the additional force requirements mentioned in paragraph 6 of the report of the Secretary-General; 3. Requests the Secretary-General to continue the consultations, inter alia, with the Governments of the Member States contributing forces to UNPROFOR, called for in resolution 836 (1993); 4. Reaffirms its decision in paragraph 10 of resolution 836 to use air power in and around the safe areas in the performance of its mandate, and encourages Member States, through regional organizations or arrangements, to support UNPROFOR in this regard. support and equipment to facilitate the implementation of including logistics.
