The Assembly will now take decisions on the two draft resolutions recommended by the Sixth Committee in paragraph 17 of its report (A/49/741).
Draft resolution I is entitled “Declaration on the Enhancement of Cooperation between the United Nations and Regional Arrangements or Agencies in the Maintenance of International Peace and Security”.

Separate votes on the last preambular paragraph and on paragraph 4 (c) of draft resolution II have been requested.
I call on the representative of Poland.
With regard to the request for separate votes, my delegation, in accordance with rule 89 of the rules of procedure, objects to the motion for division in respect of the last preambular paragraph and operative paragraph 4 (c) of draft resolution II contained in the report of the Sixth Committee (A/49/741). As a consequence of this objection the motion for division should be voted upon.
