In paragraph 5 of its report, the Fifth Committee recommends that the General Assembly should appoint Mr. Kenshiro Akimoto as a member of the United Nations Staff Pension Committee for the remainder of a term of office beginning on 1 January 1999 and ending on 31 December 2000.
May I take it that the General Assembly appoints that person?
