The Assembly will now take decisions on draft resolutions I to XVII one by one. After all the decisions have been taken, representatives will again have an opportunity to explain their votes or positions. We first turn to draft resolution I, entitled “Human rights and extreme poverty”. The Third Committee adopted it without a vote. May I take it that the Assembly wishes to do the same?

Draft amendment A/73/L.57 begins with the following: “Delete the fifteenth preambular paragraph, which reads “Acknowledging that extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions may under certain circumstances amount to genocide, crimes against humanity ...”.
