The Security Council,
Recalling its resolutions 2319 (2016), 2235 (2015), 2209 (2015) and 2118 (2013),
1. Decides to renew the mandate of the Joint Investigative Mechanism, as set out in resolution 2235, for a period of 30 days, with a possibility of further extension by the Security Council if it deems necessary;
2. Requests the UN Secretary‑General, in coordination with the Director‑General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), to submit to the Security Council, within 20 days of the adoption of this resolution, proposals for the structure and methodology of the Joint Investigative Mechanism reflecting views of Security Council members;
3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
