REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE ADMISSION OF NEW MEMBERS CONCERNING THE APPLICATION OF THE PRINCIPALITY OF LIECHTENSTEIN FOR ADMISSION TO MEMBERSHIP IN THE UNITED NATIONS

1. At the 2935th meeting on 13 August 1990, the Security Council had before it the application of the Principality of Liechtenstein (S/21486) for admission to membership in the United Nations.
2. At its 73rd meeting on 14 August 1990, the Committee considered the application of the Principality of Liechtenstein and unanimously decided to recommend to the Security Council that it should be admitted to membership in the United Nations.
3. Accordingly, the Committee recommends to the Security Council the adoption of the following draft resolution:
The Security Council
Having examined the application of the Principality of Liechtenstein for admission to the United Nations (S/21486),
Recommends to the General Assembly that the Principality of Liechtenstein be admitted to membership in the United Nations.
