The Security Council, Reaffirming its resolution 687 of 3 April 1991, and its resolutions 689(1991) of 9 April 1991 and (1992) of 26 August 1992, and its other resolutions on this matter, Having considered the report of the Secretary-General of 18 January 1993 (S/25123), Noting with approval that work is being completed on the realignment of the demilitarized zone referred to in paragraph 5 of resolution 687 (1991) to correspond to the international boundary demarcated by the United Nations, Deeply concerned at recent actions involving a series of border incidents by Iraq in violation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, Recalling the statements made by the President on behalf of the Council on 8 January 1993 (S/25081) and on 11 January 1993 (S/25091), Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, 1. Underlines once again its guarantee of the inviolability of the international boundary between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq and its decision to take, in accordance with the Charter, all necessary measures provided for in paragraph 4 of resolution 687 (1991) to that end; 2. Approves the report, and decides to extend the terms of reference of UNIKOM to include the functions contained in paragraph 5 of the report; economy and other relevant factors UNIKOM taking into account deployment Requests the Secretary-General to plan and execute a phased3of thestrengthening of and to report to the Council on any step hethe need for intends to take following an initial deployment; pursuant modalities of UNIKOM will continue to be reviewed every six months4Reaffirms that the question of termination or continuation of UNIKOM and the take place in Aprilto paragraphs 2 and 3 of resolution 689 (1991) , the next review to 1993 ; 5 _ Decides to remain seized of the matter
