I shall now give the floor to delegations wishing to explain their vote.
We voted in favour .of the draft resolution contained in document S/9980 because it basically reaffirms all the previous Security Council resolutions on this question. We must of course register our bitter disappointment that the Secirrity Council has not been able to pronounce itself on the question of no independence before majority rule.
