               Adopted by the Security Council at its 4585th meeting,
               on 24 July 2002

                    The Security Council,
                    Having examined the application of the Swiss Confederation for admission to
               the United Nations (S/2002/801),
                    Recommends to the General Assembly that the Swiss Confederation be
               admitted to membership in the United Nations.
