The Security Council,
Having examined the application of the Democratic
and Popular Republic of Algeria for admission to the
United Nations, 16
Recommends to the General Assembly that the Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria be admitted to
membership in the United Nations.
Adopted at the 1020th meeting
by 10 votes to none, with
1 abstention (China).
