Resolution 2789 (2025)
Adopted by the Security Council at its 9968th meeting,
on 29 July 2025
The Security Council,
Recalling its resolution 2745 (2024),
Reaffirming its strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and
territorial integrity of the CAR, and recalling the importance of the principles of
non-interference, good-neighbourliness and regional cooperation,
Determining that armed groups operating in the CAR constitute a threat to
international peace and security in the region,
Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations,
1. Decides to extend, until 31 July 2026, the measures as set out or extended
in paragraphs 2 and 4 of resolution 2745 (2024), decides to extend, until 31 August
2026, the mandate of the Panel of Experts as set forth in paragraph 6 of resolution
2745 (2024), and reaffirms paragraphs 1, 3, 5, and 7 through 12 of resolution 2745
(2024), noting that references to midterm and final reports of the Panel of Experts
should be updated to 31 January 2026 and 15 June 2026, respectively;
2. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
