Adoption of the agenda

The agenda was adopted.
The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda. Members of the Council have before them document S/2012/916, which contains the text of a draft resolution submitted by Guatemala. I wish to draw the attention of Council members to documents S/2012/594 and S/2012/836, respectively containing the report of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and a letter dated 14 November 2012 from the President of the International Criminal Tribunal addressed to the President of the Security Council. I also wish to draw the attention of members to document S/2012/849, which contains a letter dated 16 November 2012 from the President of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals addressed to the President of the Security Council. It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. I shall put the draft resolution to the vote now.
A vote was taken by show of hands.
There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 2080 (2012). The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda. the Security Council will remain seized of the matter.
