Adoption of the agenda

The agenda was adopted.

Threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts

The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda. Members of the Council have before them documents S/2012/928 and S/2012/929, which contain, respectively, the texts of two draft resolutions. It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. I shall now first put to the vote the draft resolution contained in document S/2012/929, which was submitted by France, Portugal, Togo, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America.
A vote was taken by show of hands.
There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 2082 (2012). I shall now put to the vote the draft resolution contained in document S/2012/928, which was submitted by France, Germany, Portugal, Togo, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America.
A vote was taken by show of hands.
There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 2083 (2012). The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda. The Council will remain seized of the matter.
