Arrangements for future meetings of the eleventh session of the General Aesembly The General Assembly, Recalling resolution 1109 (XI) of 15 February 1957 concerning the progress of the work of the eleventh session and the closing date of the session, * H aving completed consideration of ail the items on its agenda wit~ the exception of items 66 and 67, Decides, in accordance with rule 6 of the rules of procedure, to adjourn its eleventh session temporarily and to authorize the President! of the General Assembly, in consultation with the Secretary-General and with the Member States the representatives of which are serving on the General Committee during the session, to reconvene the General Assembly as necessary in order to consider further items 66 or 67. 668th plenary meeting, 8 March 1957. * * Question considered hy the :6.rst emergency special session of the General Assembly from 1 to 10 November 1956 (item 66) 11 Resolution 1120 (XI) The General Assembly, il aving received the report of the Secretary-Gen- eral12 ori complîance with General Assemhly resolutions 997 (ES-I) and 1002 (ES-!) of 2 and 7 November 1956, Recalling that its resolution 1002 (ES-I) called upon Israel immediat~y to withdraw its forces behind the demarcation line established by the General Armistice Agreement between Egypt and Israel of 24 February 1949,18 Recalling further that the .above-mentioned resolu- tion also called upon France and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Irela:nd immediately to withdraw their forces from Egyptian territory, in con- formity with previous resolutions, 1. Notes with regret that, according to the com- munications received by the Secretary-General, 12 two- thirds of the French forces remain, all the United Kingdom forces remain although it has been; announced that arrangements are being made for the withdrawal of one battalion, and no Isreal forces have been with- -drawn behind the armistice line although a considerable time bas elapsed since the adoption of the relevant General Assembly resolutions ; 2. Reiterates its call to France, Israel and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ire- land to comply forthwîth with resolutions 997 (ES-I) and 1002 (ES-I) of 2 and 7 November 1956; 3. Resolution 1122 (XI) The General Assembl:y, Having decided, in resolutions 1000 (ES-I) and 1001 (ES-I) of 5 and 7 November 1956, to establish an emergency international United Nations Force (hereafter to be known as the United Nations Emer- gency Force) under a Chief of Command (hereafter to be known as the Commander), H aving considered and Provisionally approved the recommendations made by the Secretary-General con- cerning the financing of the Force in paragraph 15 of his report of 6 November 1956,.16 1.
