C onsiders that these measures are invalid; 2. Calls upan Israel to rescind ali measures already taken and to desist forthwith from taking any action which would alter the status of J erusalem; 3. Deplores the failure of Israel to implement Gen- eral Assembly resolution 2253 (ES-V); 2. Reiterates its call to Israel in that resolution to rescind all measures already taken and to desist forth- with from taking any action which would alter the status of J erusalem ; 3. The situation in the Middle East The General Assembly, H aving considcred the grave situation in the Middle East, Considering that the Security Council continues to be seized oí the problem, Bearing in mind the resolutions adopted and the proposals considered during the fifth emergency special session of the General Assembly, l. Requests the Secretary-General to forward the records of the fifth emergency special session of the General Assembly to the Security Council in order to facilitate the resumption by the Council, as a matter oí urgency, of its consideration of the tense situation in the Middle East; 2.
