General Assemhly-Twenty-sixth Session
2751 (XXVI). Admission of Bhutan to member-
ship in the United Nations
The General Assembly,
Having received the recommendation of the Security
Council of 1 O February 1971 that Bhutan should be
admitted to membership in the United N ations, 1
Having considered the application far membership of
Bhutan,2
Decides to admit Bhutan to membership in the United
Nations.

ship in the United Nations
The General Assembly,
Having received tbe recommendation of the Security
Council of 18 August 1971 that Babrain should be
admitted to rnembership in the United Nations,3
Having considered the application far membership
of Bahrain, 4
Decides to admit Bahrain to membership in the
United Nations.

ship in the United Nations
The General Assembly,
Having received the recommendation of the Security
Council of 15 September 1971 that Qatar should be
admitted to membership in the United Nations,11
Having considered the application far membership

Decides to admit Qatar to membership in the United
Nations.

The General Assembly,
Having received the recommendation of the Security
Council of 30 September 1971 that Ornan should be
admitted to membership in the United Nations,7

2758 (XXVI). Restoration of the lawful rights of
the People's Republic of China in the United
Nations
The General Assembly,
Recalling the principies of the Charter of the United
Nations,
Considering that the restoration of the lawful rights
of the People's Republic of China is essential both far
the protection of the Charter of the United Nations
and far the cause that the United Nations must serve
under the Charter,
Recognizing that the representatives of the Govem-
rnent of the People's Republic of China are the only
lawful representatives of China to the United Nations
and that the People's Republic of China is one of the
five permanent members of the Security Council,
Decides to restore all its rights to the People's Re-
public of China and to recognize the representatives
of its Govemment as the only legitimate representa-
tives of China to the United Nations, and to expel
forthwith the representatives of Chiang Kai-shek from
the place which they unlawfully occupy at the United
Nations and in all the organizations related to it.

The General Assembly,
Having received the report of the Intemational
Atomic Energy Agency to the General Assembly far
the year 1970/1971,9
A ware that the statement of the Director-General
of the International Atomic Energy Agency of 8 No-
vember 197110 brings up to date major developments
since the report was published,
l. Takes note of the report of the International
Atomic Energy Agency;
2. Appreciates the constructive role that the Inter-
national Atomic Energy Agency is playing in the peace-
ful application of nuclear energy far the welfare of
Member States;
3. Commends the work being undertaken by the In-
temational Atomic Energy Agency to meet its safe-
guards responsibilities;
4. Further commends the co-operation of the Inter-
national Atomic Energy Agency with the United
Nations in organizing the Fourth International Con-
