A/RES/70/28 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and its Preparatory Committee 2/2 Recalling the decision of the 2000 Review Conference that three sessions of the Preparatory Committee should be held in the years prior to the review conference,5 Recalling also that the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, held from 27 April to 22 May 2015, was not able to reach agreement, despite intensive consultations on a substantive Final Document,7 1. Takes note of the decision of the parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,1 following appropriate consultations, to hold the first session of the Preparatory Committee in Vienna from 2 to 12 May 2017; 2.
